Victory at the McGoun Western Canadian Championships

The Western Canadian Championships remain in the hands of the University of Alberta, as Nathan Pinkoski and Robert Lees-Miller obtained the title this last weekend in Vancouver, bringing much glory to the UADS.

Ashvin Singh and Rachelle Neame were quarter-finalists, while Ashvin was Third Place Speaker at the tournament. UADS judges who broke and were adjudicating in the out-rounds were Emily Cliff and Mary McPhail.

In Public Speech, Kathleen Lake was a finalist, and Michael Thorpe was 2nd place on the pedestal in that contest.

The tournament’s Chief Adjudicator was UADS alumna Sharon Ohayon, who also would like it to be known that she broke to the finals.
